Paris Itinerary | A Paris Guide That Will Instantly Make You Stylish
It’s been a long time since my Paris trip, and I’ve been truly “lazy” for not sharing anything sooner. After a complete change of heart, I present to you this Paris list from the “Fashion Planet”. It’s “trendy” (and “different”) because it doesn’t specifically list attractions and itineraries. Instead, it’s a sharing of food, shopping, experiences, hotels, and accommodations to help you become a “Chic Parisian”.
Well, elegance has its formula, “Bonjour, Paris!”
1. Delicious Food:
A delicious list revealed by a “food expert”
Being able to eat so happily in Paris is all thanks to recommendations from Sugar&Spiced (a Parisian pastry chef and food blogger, searchable on Weibo). Coincidentally, I followed her on Weibo before my trip, and she had already been living in Paris for three years. The restaurants and food I selected based on her Weibo recommendations truly didn’t disappoint – they were satisfyingly “delicious.” Let me briefly recommend a few places I tried and was very impressed with. Ha, a foodie’s world map should probably be marked with food, right?

Claus
Address: 14 Rue Jean-Jacques Rousseau, 75001 Paris
If you start your day with a brunch at this restaurant, you’ll probably feel happy all day.
Claus is located in the same neighborhood as my first Airbnb, near the Louvre. I was immediately attracted when I passed by this beautiful shop the previous evening. Both sides of the narrow street are occupied by its shops – one side sells jam and takeaway desserts, while the other is the restaurant that serves delicious brunch. (Under the chicken comb is an egg)
Honor Café Hidden in the Burberry Alley
Address: 54 Rue du FaubourgSaint-Honoré, 75008 Paris
Stumbling upon Honor Café was quite a coincidence. After walking out of the BURBERRY store, I discovered a coffee shop I had saved in my collection in the adjacent alley. It’s a very special place with an open-air small courtyard. The coffee is delicious, and with a dessert, it couldn’t be more pleasant… especially after browsing luxury boutiques (smirking).
Honor Café is located on Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré in the 8th district of Paris. Compared to the Champs-Élysées, I prefer this place. Although Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré is not as famous, it gathers almost every major fashion brand in the world and is known as one of the most fashionable streets in the world: the Paris Hermès flagship store, Chanel, LV, Dior, Gucci, etc. are all here.
In addition to the luxurious mansions built by nobles in the 18th century, this street also houses the French Presidential Palace, the Élysée Palace, making it a street rich in Parisian history and culture.

Neige d’Eté (Summer Snow)

This restaurant is worth a special trip, offering Japanese-style fresh French cuisine. It is said that it was opened by Japanese chef Hideki Nishi after he left the Four Seasons Hotel George V in Paris to start his own business.
Located on a quiet small street in the 15th district, an area with a lot of life. I ordered the lunch (€40 / €70 with paired wine), which included appetizers, fish, meat dishes, desserts, etc. It was an especially exquisite meal. Even now when I think about it, it was so delightful!

Coutume Instituutti with some academic vibes
Address: 60, rue des Écoles, 75005 Paris
Coutume Instituitti was named by French VOGUE magazine as “one of the 5 best places to drink coffee in Paris“. It is located in the Institut Finlandais in the 5th district of Paris (Institut Finlandais, a film academy), featuring high ceilings, floor-to-ceiling glass windows, and a strong sense of design, while maintaining a simple, bright, quiet, and comfortable atmosphere. It serves delicious coffee, simple salads, and cakes.
It’s actually a branch of Coutume Café, which is considered the pioneer of specialty coffee in Paris. If you happen to be nearby, I think it’s not to be missed.
This year, Coutume Café opened its first global chain store in Aoyama, Tokyo, which is worth marking down for a visit.
2. Leisurely Strolls & Shopping & Experiences
Actually, one of the most enjoyable parts of traveling in Paris is wandering through the streets and alleys, experiencing a completely different lifestyle and way of thinking. It’s romantic, vintage, and full of charm. At any time, you can see people leisurely chatting and drinking coffee on the streets, people sunbathing and feeding pigeons on lawns or squares, street performers, or couples kissing in the subway… In short, it’s a relaxed and pleasant satisfaction.
Beautiful Street-side Shops

The small streets and alleys of Paris are well worth exploring. The “good-looking shops” with French style alone are enough for you to take 200 more photos, or you could have a stylish street photoshoot in such small streets. My first Airbnb accommodation was located in the Palais Royal neighborhood, and the nearby Rue d’Argout street area was very fun. Not only are the storefronts attractive, but there are also open-air markets and food markets, creating a rich Parisian life atmosphere.
Eiffel Tower, Eiffel Tower, where to find the most special view of the Paris Eiffel Tower?

Many people choose to climb the Eiffel Tower to see Paris, but just like the Oriental Pearl Tower, the queue of people waiting to climb the tower is endless. And it’s difficult to capture the full view of the tower when standing right below it, so when planning your trip, I would recommend the following three options:
1. You can first detour to the Champ de Mars behind it.
2. Then go to the viewing platform across the street, which is at the Palais de Chaillot.
3. Go to the Pont de Bir-Hakeim, which is a bridge in Paris that crosses the Seine River.
Or like me, take a hot air balloon up and overlook the entire street view of Paris.
There are really few people, so it becomes a particularly wonderful experience.
For safety reasons, hot air balloon activities will be suspended during strong winds or thunderstorms.

Merci: The Trendiest Boutique Among Parisian Internet Celebrities

After visiting the well-known shopping centers, I recommend this trendiest boutique in Paris, Merci, which was transformed from a paper factory into an art market. Walking into it is like opening a well-designed fashion magazine: trendy clothing, beauty fragrances, bookstores, restaurants, and more are all available; have a coffee, browse designer brands, what Merci probably wants to express is the exquisite and interesting daily life of Parisians. The red vintage car at the entrance has already become its landmark.
Did you know gifts can be “customized”?
Paris Printemps Department Store

While shopping at Galeries Lafayette or Printemps, you might not know that gifts can be specially “customized”. French people value the packaging and special meaning of gifts. When I buy perfume, I can ask the staff to specially customize it with the Eiffel Tower logo or a name, even in Chinese. This way, when you bring it back as a gift for others, isn’t it more thoughtful and meaningful?
PS: All shops and restaurants in France have very strict closing days, so be sure to check before you go (or when planning your itinerary) to avoid making a wasted trip.
When in Rome, do as the Romans do in the “City of Flowers, Paris”
Paris, the City of Flowers, truly lives up to its reputation. The City of Flowers is about flowers, but also about romance… “Perhaps this city of Paris is naturally suited for love, with even the air carrying a sweet scent.” Every time I pass by a flower shop on a street corner, I can’t help but take a second look. When I actually carried flowers back on the plane, I felt so incredibly cool. The shop owner knew I was taking them on a plane, so they added floral foam and specially packaged them. It was the most delightful romantic scent imaginable.
3. Stay at the right B&B
For accommodation in Paris, I chose Airbnb this time because I wanted to experience more of the daily life of ordinary Parisians.
Since I was staying for a week, I chose two places, one near the Louvre and the other close to the Champs-Élysées. Regarding the importance of a good host, I’ll omit 3,500 words here… Having a friendly and interesting host makes your Paris trip already half perfect, and if she speaks good English, that’s even better (because most French people’s English is somewhat difficult to communicate with, and apparently they don’t want to speak English either).
I was quite satisfied with both stays, but I’d recommend the one near the Champs-Élysées more.

The lady I’m staying with left me with the deepest impression of elegance, which might be a characteristic of most French ladies – that kind of confidence and temperament that comes with time. Her husband is American, so her English is excellent. She’s talkative and humorous, and will share many of her experiences with you, as well as recommend places that local Parisians love to visit.
Every day she prepares a rich French breakfast for you (you can also make special requests). Because I “complained” to her, “Why do French people love baguettes so much? I love bread, but I really find baguettes hard to digest.” She smiled and taught me the proper way to enjoy a baguette – spreading butter and dipping it in black coffee. Might that be a bit of an unusual combination~ Ha, but it really tastes much better!

The entire home has been transformed into a botanical garden by the elderly lady. The “lush green plant feeling” is my favorite. Whether it’s the lamp decorations or the ceiling, you’ll find “little surprises” hidden throughout the house that naturally make you feel happy. However, those who mind cats should take a detour, as one day I came back to find the cat lying furry in my bathroom.

And this first place, except for the somewhat arrogant landlord, everything else was fine. Because I didn’t have to live with the landlord, I had more freedom. Specific details are as shown in the picture above.

In Paris, is drinking coffee that important? “Yes! Drinking a good cup of coffee is a moment when all your senses are awakened: at this moment, it’s like walking in the woods, holding fruits in your arms, with flowers in your hands, feeling the cool breeze while the sunlight is warm… sweet, sour, bitter, soft…” they describe it this way.
Is kissing that important? “Of course!” Someone describes the French as: “Fall in love in spring, vacation in summer, strike in autumn, celebrate in winter“. Well, in the eyes of the French, falling in love, afternoon tea, and vacationing are the serious matters in life.
Paris is undoubtedly the epitome of romance. Following one’s interests, a cup of insignificant coffee, and watching the sunset shoulder to shoulder with a lover – this is the true meaning of life.
